Position Summary
We are seeking a talented skilled Prompter Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will operate the teleprompter system, ensuring that our on-air talent can deliver their lines seamlessly. Your role will involve close collaboration with the production team to manage script flow and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate the teleprompter system during live and pre-recorded broadcasts, ensuring scripts are displayed clearly and at the appropriate speed.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and talent to review and adjust scripts for optimal teleprompting.
- Monitor broadcasts to ensure synchronization between the teleprompter feed and the live production.
- Troubleshoot and address any technical issues with the teleprompter equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Format and prepare scripts for teleprompting, making adjustments as needed for readability and timing.
- Perform regular maintenance and checks on teleprompter equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Work with the production team to manage script changes and adapt to any last-minute adjustments during broadcasts.
Essential duties and responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in broadcast operations is a plus
- Being a self-starter who can work independently, as well as a team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis, and especially in breaking news situations.
- Knowledge with TV broadcast operations.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical Requirements
- Work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work requires to be able to climb ladders, and work in small places.
